Dirty Doering - I Would
The hit single turned inside joke.
The elusive Dirty Doering is a DJ from a recently closed club in Berlin, Bar25, who my friends and I wanted desperately to see. However, Mr. Doering prefers to play extremely early in the morning, so we would often arrive at a club where he was performing only to find out he wasn’t going on until 4 or 6 am.
Because of this, we never actually ended up seeing him. In other words, when asked if I would stay up all night to see Dirty D, I wouldn’t.
I know that I have yet to post anything in the last 2 weeks. I am not able to maintain a blog here. I’ll try to reconstruct my experience for you, my starving followers, when I get home, but for now know that I’m having a splendid time and can’t wait to see you all again.
auf wedersehen
Yesterday, my friend got two free tickets to a Fashion/Music festival taking place at an old, out of service airport.
The venue was fantastic; there were huge projectors playing music videos in the terminals, free goodies scrolled by on baggage claim conveyor belts, and the main stage was literally in the middle of the wide open tarmac, which was covered with interesting stations including a swing set and dancing robots.
The band was a daft punk cover band, complete with ominous helmet wearing men, large pyramid DJ booth, and random dancers. By my standards it was as good as the real deal.
These were all taken with my phone.
