As you no doubt have guessed, I am currently using the internet.

I used my iPhone to email my father about the problem, who responded with an elegant solution. Now that the problem is fixed, I look back at how I reacted to the situation and have learned a lot from it.

I truly believed myself able to fix the problem on my own, which is why I was compelled to spend so much time and effort attempting to. However, this experience has taught me to be more patient, think through things slowly, and not to fear failure.

Many times I thought about the events that led to me struggling endlessly with my computer, and how had things been slightly different, I wouldn’t be in this situation. I see now that this is a self generated excuse for failure, and nothing to trouble oneself over.

Also, going through this has taught me to rely less on technology. To truly stay in touch with people, you have to remember them and carry that memory with you. Obviously I was elated when I got back on the internet and will continue to use it forever, but I am that much closer to feeling like I could go without it and everything else that keeps me connected, if I had to.
